Chicago (photo post)!

I had a really wonderful weekend in Chicago. On Saturday, my friends and I went and ate breakfast at a really cute place called The Eleven City Diner. It was definitely a good choice. Later for lunch, I met up with Matt and we ate at The Chicago Diner, which is definitely my favorite of the weekend. I loved it so much that I went again the next day for another meal and a vegan milkshake! Mmmm. The show on Saturday night was great! Both The Union Line and The Love Language were outstanding. If you haven't checked them out, you definitely should. I couldn't have asked for better bands to pump me up for Local Natives! I didn't want any of the bands' sets to end! What did you all do this weekend?

  1. Well my weekend wasn't as NEARLY as exciting as yours, but it was quite busy. I nannied the whole weekend and we had lots of adventures over the weekend. Some good, some bad :D Just glad it's over! Ha.

I'm so glad you like your cowl! If you ever take a picture with it on you must let me know!

Ps - I've always wanted to go to Chicago, so next time you go take me along :D hehe

  4. Chaucee, adventures with little ones are always so much fun! I always feel so great at the end of the day when I spend it being youthful. I loooove my cowl. I definitely plan on taking a photo with it when I get the chance! It goes perfectly with my winter coat! You've never been to Chicago?! Where do you live? I'd definitely be down for a trip to Chicago! :)

Tinfoils Tiaras, have you never been? You must go! It's a lot of fun! You could rock any hair style! I never thought I would be able to pull of short hair, but I think I may like it more than my long hair (plus it's sooo much easier).

Sueper, thank you! It was a really fun trip. You should definitely visit!

  6. Smallsight, if only I could make it to NL for that show! I'm dying to go there, but it's expensive and I have school :( Someday I'll come out there to see them, I promise!

  7. It looks like you had so much fun! I can't wait to check Chicago out -- one of my best friends from high school and my cousin both just moved out there recently so I have TWO places to stay. And I'm wildly curious about this vegan milkshake? Did it use soy milk?

  9. Brandi, yep! The vegan milkshakes use soy milk. They might also use almond milk, but I'm not sure. Either way, they were delicious! If you go to Chicago, definitely go to the Chicago Diner. I would spend all of my money there if it were here in Bloomington!

Tea and Love, your comment just made my day :) You are too nice!

  10. Kristine, what a cute post! I'm only now realizing that you're boyfriend is in Local Natives! I've heard a lot of good things about the band, but never have actually listened to them. I really feel like I need to get my hands on some of their music and give them a good listen to!

Also, vegan milkshake? That sounds sooo good! They have the best vegan ice cream sundaes at a vegan restaurant near my house. Wish we could go together :]

PS LOVE the flower in your hair! So pretty!

  11. Chelsea, definitely get your hands on some of their music! Let me know what you think :) If they ever have a show in Arizona, I'd fly out there and we could go together, hehe! The vegan milkshake was amazing! I had chocolate chip cookie dough and it was to die for. Maybe I'll take a trip out there and we can get some vegan ice cream sundaes sometime. I've been meaning to make my way out there for some time now!
