Lonely Hearts & A Trip to New York

Hello friends! I thought I'd try to post once before my trip to New York this weekend. If any of you bloggers out there will be in NYC this weekend, you should come out to the Local Natives show (with The Union Line & The Ruby Suns) at Webster Hall this Saturday! I'll be there! If you end up going, shoot me an e-mail so we can meet up and say hi! (Tickets available here)

Anyone have any exciting plans for this weekend? Any awesome costume ideas? I'm keeping mine a secret until after the weekend, but I promise to post photos afterwards! Have a great weekend everyone!

Here are some simple, yet lovely looks by Lonely Hearts that I really enjoy.

J. Crew's sweater perfection

Anyone else lusting over these sweaters as much as I am? I am loving the layering, colors combinations, and definitely the lipstick on this model. She's making me miss my long hair a little bit!

This past weekend was a lot of fun. I drove down to Nashville with Aya of Strawberry Koi, Thom of Thom Lennon Photography, and Sara of The Basement Jam to surprise Matt at his show in Nashville! It was so good to see all of the guys of The Union Line and Local Natives again. Those guys are all incredibly nice (and incredibly talented on top of that)! On Friday we had a blogger meet up in Nashville and it was a lot of fun! I got to meet Quincy of Q's Daydream Vintage (and her husband), Fab of Vested Bee Vintage, and Lauren of Blooming Leopold Vintage. They are all the nicest of girls! Photos to come!

Anthropologie is leaving me smitten with their color combinations! Mmmm. I love the deep red, navy, olive, brown, and mustard yellows they're using! These looks are all from Anthropologie's online outfit tour. How neat!

My weekend (photo post!)

This weekend was really nice. I went home for the day on Friday to spend some time with my family. My birthday is next Sunday and I have to work, so I went home and had a pre-birthday dinner with my family. My grandma made me her infamous chocolate cake and it is by far my favorite thing on this planet. I even got to cuddle with my kitty! :)

Haha, the last one is pretty silly. All of the photos of me were taken by my brother, Matt Claghorn! What did you all do this past weekend?

It's pretty and multifunctional!

"The design is based on the functional aspect of the furoshiki; the idea of wrapping and folding. At first glance it appears as a bold and abstract pattern but when seen as a whole, it becomes apparent that the stripes depict manipulated and tied fabric." (via Link)

Not only do I adore this pattern, I love the fact that this item is so multifunctional! How neat is this? I really love this item by Lucinda Newton-Dunn. (Seen via Oh Joy!)

Chicago (photo post)!

I had a really wonderful weekend in Chicago. On Saturday, my friends and I went and ate breakfast at a really cute place called The Eleven City Diner. It was definitely a good choice. Later for lunch, I met up with Matt and we ate at The Chicago Diner, which is definitely my favorite of the weekend. I loved it so much that I went again the next day for another meal and a vegan milkshake! Mmmm. The show on Saturday night was great! Both The Union Line and The Love Language were outstanding. If you haven't checked them out, you definitely should. I couldn't have asked for better bands to pump me up for Local Natives! I didn't want any of the bands' sets to end! What did you all do this weekend?
