Celebrating the warmth with florals!

Photos by Thom Lennon Photography

Aya of Strawberry Koi and I continued our photo shoot with dresses from Cactus Flower with these florals! We had so much fun together.

My outfit:
Dress: Tulle (via Cactus Flower)
Necklace: The Blue Balloon
Belt: Thrifted
Boots: Zuriick

I just arrived home from a long weekend at The Gorge. I attended Sasquatch and was able to spend a lot of time with some of my favorite people. Music updates and photos from the weekend will be posted later this week! I hope everyone is doing well! Did you all do anything fun over Memorial Day weekend?

It's finally feeling like summer in Indiana!

Photos by Thomas Smith of Thom Lennon Photography

Outfit:
Dress: Vintage (found at Cactus Flower)
Cardigan: Urban Outfitters
Belt: Thrifted
Boots: Zuriick (thanks, Matt!)
Necklace: The Blue Balloon

We had a lot of fun wandering around at these abandoned warehouses. There are about a dozen all next to each other and every time I've been there, I've run into artists spray painting shirts, photographers, and even filming! Aya of Strawberry Koi, her husband Thom, and I ventured around and had a lot of fun discovering graffiti, old trinkets, and we even found an old golf cart! Ha!

Aya has been working really hard getting the online store up and running for the boutique/vintage shop where we both work. It's looking great! She also designed the blog that we are working on together! Check the shop here and the blog here. Let us know what you think!

Happy Birthday, Aya!

Today is one of my closest friend's birthday! Aya is one of the most beautiful and inspirational women I know. She's a wonderful friend, wife, mother, daughter, and of course, blogger. You've probably seen her amazing blog, Strawberry Koi! I love her to death. If you get the chance, go wish her a happy birthday!

Sunny with a chance of polka dots (outfit post)!

(First two photos by Sara Baldwin & Third by Aya Smith)

Outfit:
Dress: Thrifted at Cactus Flower
Belt: Thrifted
Boots: Clarks Desert Boots (birthday present from Matt, so so nice of him)

It was so beautiful out today, I had to wear a dress! It was in the 60s and last week, it was in the 30s and 40s. Indiana weather still surprises me to this day and I've lived here my whole life! One day it'll be sunny and hot and the next, it'll be below freezing with snow. Ouf! Is the weather this bipolar where you all live?

J. Crew's sweater perfection

Anyone else lusting over these sweaters as much as I am? I am loving the layering, colors combinations, and definitely the lipstick on this model. She's making me miss my long hair a little bit!

This past weekend was a lot of fun. I drove down to Nashville with Aya of Strawberry Koi, Thom of Thom Lennon Photography, and Sara of The Basement Jam to surprise Matt at his show in Nashville! It was so good to see all of the guys of The Union Line and Local Natives again. Those guys are all incredibly nice (and incredibly talented on top of that)! On Friday we had a blogger meet up in Nashville and it was a lot of fun! I got to meet Quincy of Q's Daydream Vintage (and her husband), Fab of Vested Bee Vintage, and Lauren of Blooming Leopold Vintage. They are all the nicest of girls! Photos to come!

A few things I love/miss

I went to Jamaica in late May this year and it was one of the most enlightening experiences I've had thus far. It was my first time venturing out of my little American bubble and I absolutely loved the feeling of a new place and new culture. It was refreshing and I learned a lot about myself there. I cannot wait until I get the opportunity to travel more. There are so many places I want to go! What places are on the top of your travel wish list?

This boy and his band, Local Natives. If you haven't listened to them you should. Don't take my word for it, read all of the genuinely nice/wonderful reviews they get (here's one)! They're incredibly talented. He came to visit a couple of weeks ago and I definitely miss him. I get to see him in Chicago a week from Saturday (as well as a show by Local Natives) so I'm overwhelmingly excited! (Image via themusic.fm)

My wonderful friends, Aya and her husband (the man behind the camera), Thom. They are both really loving and caring people and I'm so glad to have them in my life! They also have one of the cutest little ones I've ever seen. Aya is having a little contest to win a coupon to her etsy on her blog, Strawberry Koi. Go and enter! I mean, why wouldn't you? :)

My family! I love them so much. This is only part my mom's side , so I'm missing quite a few of those I love in this picture. I'm so thankful to have such an amazing family. My brother is one of my best friends and I enjoy every second I spend with him. I only get to see him every other weekend or so, therefore I miss him dearly. (Image via Matt Claghorn & yes I used to have a whole lot of hair!)

There's an infinitely long list of other people/things that I love and miss, but I'll leave you with this small slice of my life.
