"Books breaking through the wall downstairs, referencing the 'basement stacks' every library has. In this case it's as if those stacks had been sealed up during some remodel, and are anthropomorphically breaking through, referencing the old library, history, roots, poltergeists... Created for the VIA Advertising Agency, which recently renovated and moved their offices into the old Baxter building, which served as Portland's public library from 1888 until the 1960s." Soon enough, Los Angeles will be my home sweet home. Today was the first day at my new job and I feel really good about it. I'm also signing a lease for an adorable studio this week! Life is good.

How awesome is this bicycle typogram by Aaron Kuehn? I wish I could ride it around! Sorry for being M.I.A. lately! I have been out in Los Angeles for the past week. It's been a crazy few days. I had a last minute job interview and ended up getting the job! I'm moving out here in about a month! Any of you live in the L.A. area? Let's be friends!

This post was a lot of fun. I used different items of clothing from Cactus Flower, the boutique & vintage store where I work to mimic these outfits by Alexa Chung. She's definitely one of my favorite fashion icons. I love the way she puts things together.

SASQUATCH MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011

I know, I know. I'm adding these incredibly late! My good friend Mel and I took a lot (and I mean a lot) of photos during the weekend, and it took us a bit to get through them all. She took 1400 photos and narrowed them down to 700! Impressive, right? Anyway, Sasquatch was wonderful. The weather was beautiful for the majority of the weekend and we ended up staying at an inn that was less than a five minute walk away. It was in a vineyard and it was absolutely breathtaking. I miss the view!

This trip was my first visit ever to Washington. I spent a day in Seattle and then road tripped to The Gorge with Kelcey, Mel, Matt, and Spencer. I'm still soaking it all in! Oh, to walk across the ocean...

If only we could really walk across the ocean on our bare feet to visit other places around the world! It's up in the 80s and 90s in Indiana right now and incredibly muggy! I need the beach and a good book, stat! I just purchased a plane ticket to Los Angeles over the 4th of July and I couldn't be more excited. I haven't been out there since February, which is far too long.

Help me pick a dress!

Hello friends! I made the mistake of falling in love with too many dresses by ASOS last night. It took me forever to narrow it down to two dresses! Help me decide which one to purchase! Which one do you all like better?
