STRIPES & DENIM
Photo by Aya of Strawberry Koi
I am obsessed with stripes. I really cannot get enough of them. I always have to talk myself out of buying more items with stripes (and polka dots too)! I just love them!

FASHION ICON: ALEXA CHUNG
This post was a lot of fun. I used different items of clothing from Cactus Flower, the boutique & vintage store where I work to mimic these outfits by Alexa Chung. She's definitely one of my favorite fashion icons. I love the way she puts things together.

SASQUATCH MUSIC FESTIVAL 2011
I know, I know. I'm adding these incredibly late! My good friend Mel and I took a lot (and I mean a lot) of photos during the weekend, and it took us a bit to get through them all. She took 1400 photos and narrowed them down to 700! Impressive, right? Anyway, Sasquatch was wonderful. The weather was beautiful for the majority of the weekend and we ended up staying at an inn that was less than a five minute walk away. It was in a vineyard and it was absolutely breathtaking. I miss the view!

This trip was my first visit ever to Washington. I spent a day in Seattle and then road tripped to The Gorge with Kelcey, Mel, Matt, and Spencer. I'm still soaking it all in! I can't wait to visit again! If you feel like closing your eyes and pretending to be at Sasquatch, check out these recordings from the festival on Mel's soundcloud, here. Eyelet you have my heart!
Don't mind the children swinging/falling from the tree behind me, haha! If you're loving eyelet as much as I am, hop on over to the Cactus Flower blog to see another cute eyelet dress by Ariella, one which I ended up purchasing... Whoops! I couldn't help it!

Help me pick a dress!
Hello friends! I made the mistake of falling in love with too many dresses by ASOS last night. It took me forever to narrow it down to two dresses! Help me decide which one to purchase! Which one do you all like better?

Too Many Florals!

Ok, with that said - When I think of something Clag and I have in common... it's our love of girly dresses, which made me think that florals seem to be taken over the world for this spring. But you know what? I'm actually really ok with that...

Florals and little vintage-ispired minis have become a staple in my wardrobe. I think what's great about them is you can wear them as dresses of course, or even as tunics with thick tights and skinny jeans. It about as versatile as a dress can be, and I just love to wear them with ankle-boots and cardigans.. I espeically love these shown above, with their sweet pleated waistlines dainty sleeves!

I think flowly, light-weight dresses are a great way to wear floral as well. I'm mostly a cotton girl myself, but the couple chiffon-y dresses I own are so fun and feminine to wear... Ugh, now I'm pictures warm summery sunshine and ice-cream on lazy days, sigh!
...It's funny, I think Clag and I own all the same dresses from the little boutique we work. We always have fun trying on the same pieces together, and sometimes it's really quite a laugh! (when it's something comical, we look like synchronized swimmers)
Lets see.. Floral, check! Maybe now for some lace, ruffles and pin-tucks? Ok, maybe I'm taking this "girly" thing too far...

Photographer: Louise Hatton

It was hard to pick a few favorites by photographer, Louise Hatton. I really enjoy her fashion photography, but I also love her personal work, which is on film. Go take a look!
