Too Many Florals!

clag,floral

This is Aya of Strawberry Koi! Clag asked me to post in her stead while she is away on an a great adventure, and I am truly honored to blog for her! Ok, let me tell you - I love this girl, sweet and smart and has the craziest, happy-big smile that I've ever seen that instantly brightens my mood.

Ok, with that said - When I think of something Clag and I have in common... it's our love of girly dresses, which made me think that florals seem to be taken over the world for this spring. But you know what? I'm actually really ok with that...

Florals and little vintage-ispired minis have become a staple in my wardrobe. I think what's great about them is you can wear them as dresses of course, or even as tunics with thick tights and skinny jeans. It about as versatile as a dress can be, and I just love to wear them with ankle-boots and cardigans.. I espeically love these shown above, with their sweet pleated waistlines dainty sleeves!

I think flowly, light-weight dresses are a great way to wear floral as well. I'm mostly a cotton girl myself, but the couple chiffon-y dresses I own are so fun and feminine to wear... Ugh, now I'm pictures warm summery sunshine and ice-cream on lazy days, sigh!

...It's funny, I think Clag and I own all the same dresses from the little boutique we work. We always have fun trying on the same pieces together, and sometimes it's really quite a laugh! (when it's something comical, we look like synchronized swimmers)

Lets see.. Floral, check! Maybe now for some lace, ruffles and pin-tucks? Ok, maybe I'm taking this "girly" thing too far...

Warby Parker & A Surprise!

Has anyone else fallen in love with the new Warby Parker collection? I definitely have. There are so many cute new vintage-style frames. I love that they incorporate their own creativity with a vintage look. It definitely doesn't hurt. Choosing a favorite is too hard, can't I just have them all? Too bad I don't need glasses!

& a surprise! I'll be leaving town tomorrow through Monday to venture out to L.A. to see my boy, his band, and my friends! Local Natives are playing a show on Saturday at the Walt Disney Concert Hall with an orchestra. It's impossible for me to express my excitement in words! I'll bring back lots of stories and pictures! While I'm gone, I'm going to have a surprise guest blogger. I really can't wait to see what she comes up with. You all are going to love it! I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week and weekend!

Inspirational Goodness

This video is full of beach bubbles and warmth. It's been in the 50s and 60s here (really warm for Indiana in mid-February), and this video making me feel all sorts of summer love. Next time it warms up, I want to attempt this awesomeness.

I love when I come across creativity like this. The Tall Painting is so inspiring! The process appears so simple, but the end result ends up looking very intricate. This is mesmerizing, to say the least!

Lastly, I'll leave you with a little bit of personal excitement. Anyone else been listening to The King of Limbs, the new Radiohead album released yesterday? I've been listening to it non-stop. Thoughts?

Happy Valentine's Day!

I thought it would beappropriate to share something this beautiful on a day like today, especially since it involves my valentine. I hope you all have a wonderful love-filled day. I don't think today should be any different than any other day and by that I mean, I try to be thankful for the love I have everyday. I don't just mean that romantically, I'm thankful for all of the people I have in my life. You all too!

This makes my heart smile.
